Why Should I Upgrade to Smart LED Lighting?
If you're wondering why, you should retrofit your home with new LED smart lighting, consider these facts.
Energy Efficient
First, LED lights are much more energy efficient than standard incandescent bulbs. In fact, it can be significant. According to DMFLuxury.com, over the life of the LED, the savings can be as much as $942.
LEDs Last Longer
A contributing factor to those savings is also our second reason and that is the fact that LED lights last much longer than traditional incandescent bulbs. The Department of Energy reports that, "A good quality LED bulb can last 3 to 5 times longer than a CFL and 30 times longer than an incandescent bulb."
Precise Light Colors
Thirdly, there is also an aesthetic reason to make the change. LED lights can be set to precise color temperatures, resulting in highly accurate colors. So, if you're looking for a soft orange glow, or a bright white light, you can achieve both looks with LEDs.
A Cleaner Look – 2-Inch Lights
Finally, if you have a desire to create a cleaner quiet ceiling, less cluttered living space, then LED is the way to go. Four-inch and six-inch recessed can lights can now be replaced and retrofitted with sleeker looking two-inch fixtures. The best part is that your existing recessed lighting fixtures can be used for the retrofit. That means it won't be necessary to bring in an electrical crew to remodel your ceilings. The process is much easier and will save you time and money and avoid a dusty mess.

An Easy Retrofit
Moving from incandescent lights to new LED technology is simpler than you might think. The process uses the existing recessed lighting fixture already in your ceiling. Our crew at Phantom Sound will use a short adapter cable that draws power from your existing light socket in the can. The other end of the cable will attach to the new LED light module.
But first, we need to select the proper trim piece. To match the aesthetics of your home, you can select the shape, style and finish. If you are going from a 6-inch or 4-inch can to a 2-inch LED, you'll need to be sure to select a trim piece that reduce the opening to fit the new LED module.
With the trim piece attached to the module, we'll then connect the adapter cable. Finally, using the tension clips on the side of the module, we'll snap the new LED light into place.
It's a process that is quick, clean and inexpensive.

Fully Programmable
Phantom Sound uses DMF Artafex modules. They are 100% compatible with major lighting control systems. These LED lights are capable of high performance dimming down to 1%, along with soft on and fade to off capabilities. The integration with control and home automation systems means you can program a precise color at the light intensity that you want.
Conclusion
Retrofitting your home is an easy process for homeowners. The payoff, however, is much more. You will save money in the long run, enjoy the light color you want, and experience a cleaner look in your home overall.
